A gift for you school goers or those who are parents/grandparents/friends of school goers! I created some 12×12 quickpages LONG ago from my “The Book Worm” kit and decided it would be good to just share them since I never made more than 4. I love these ones though and I hope you do too! It appears as if I have an item being shared through the work of pirates. Shame, shame. It is a retired item but it’s still stealing! What I want to do is offer it to the general public for free on MY blog. So if you want it from the source come get it here 🙂 Click on the title to download in a seperate window…

I am celebratying my son’s birthday this week with freebies and RAKS and contests. My team did a few random give aways of my newest kit yesterday in celebrations of my little boy Arthur’s birthday! He turned 4 this year.
My challenge is for you to create something unique with this next freebie. It is only one paper but it is a fun one! I challenge you to use this paper in a unique way- challenge yourself to step outside of your comfort zone and create something great. Post back here with a link to your layout and I will choose one lucky winner to win a $25 gift certificate to my personal SHOP.

Have fun! This challenge will end Tuesday August 26th! You have one week so show me what you can do!
Arthur had a blast and so did I. It was steamy and muggy but the sun was not out so it made for a nice overcast but not rainy day. Here are couple of my favorite photos. My friend Christina made the most fabulous custom Kung Fu Panda cake. It is truly an original and I was so impressed by it.
The first photo is my dad and my son just rushed up to see him and he gave him a big kiss. I thought it was so cute.
New at Shabby Pickle today!
Sorry as that’s all I have time for today! I am cleaning to get ready for my soon to be 4-year-old-thinks-he’s-grown party tomorrow!
Well gear up because Monday I am having a 1 day 50% off sale in celebration of my son’s birthday which is next Monday 🙂 Everything in both of my stores will be on sale- even commercial use, and guess what! The 20% off discount will still apply to all orders over $10. One day, so prep yourseves!
I am just flat wore out, exhausted and I need to resurface to breathe. I am playing chauffeur. Running my siblings around for this and that. Today I gave my brother a bicycle (still needs air in the tires) and ran him around town to pick up applications. I know the manager at one store so I may have to talk to her to get him in for an interview. This will be his first job but the place I am referring to is a sandwich place so he should be fine there.
Also, Arthur has become so independent and he thinks he’s grown. Problem is his mouth thinks he is too- and he is talking back and whining way too much. I told him he wasn’t turning 4 this year, LOL. I told him he could stay 3 until he decided he wanted to act like a big boy. That’s when the ship he was sailing halted and he told me he wanted to be 4 in a whiny voice. At least he stopped acting like a miscreant for about 5 minutes. He is turning 4 in one week. How time flies. He is having a birthday party this coming Saturday and we set up a cheap rubber ring pool and have a filter running in it- but I don’t knowhow to maintain it. I guess I will figure it out by Saturday!
Also today I drove the air conditioned car- it was nice. Hubby sprayed for ants last week and they disappeared. Well, we thoughtthey had disappeared. They just moved to another door and it happened to be driver side but thankfully I was not bit up. Speaking of I need to ask dh to spray again.
Just look at the digital test from a computer who doesn’t even know me. LOL. For reals though, I try to be a good wife and mom and my life is dedicated to my family and bringing up my child in the best way I can. I am not perfect by ANY means though. I am far from it but with God’s grace at least I am not condemned, and at least I can continue to live knowing that I am forgiven my faults.
|You Would Make a Great 1930’s Wife|
| You’ve got a few retro ways, and you would make the ideal 1930’s wife.
At least, that’s how it looks on paper. You may just be an easygoing, pleasant person.
With a personality like yours, you’d be a great wife in any era!
Today was my brother’s birthday. I have 3 brothers so let’s be more specific- it was my brother Josiah’s birthday. I was going to have a nice day just me and my son, but no my sis pulled me in to make a birthday dinner for him with homemade german chocolate cake and homeade strawberry-blueberry ice cream. Hmm-Yuummmm. The kicker? it was at my house so I am staring at a pile of dirty dishes as I write, hee hee.
Anyhoo- the biggest decision I had to make today in 105 degree weather was which car I should drive being that my almost 4 year old son, my sister and her 4 month old son were all riding with me. A car with no working AC (actually went out just as summer started and just needs a recharge, someone please talk to dh, LOL) or a car with a working AC with a starter that could go out at any time, very large and also infested with ants! I chose the AC-less car.
A hot crying infant- a hot crying 4 year old and cold chicken in a hot car soon become a mess and they all need to wind up in teh same place- home. My livingroom which is usually a freezing temp of 60 was struggling to beat the outdoors temps and keep us cool. Maybe I should just heat my house to 115 so that when I go outside- I will be much cooler.
